To boost confidence and provide a sense of normalcy to people going through hair loss by preemptively cutting the patient's hair and creating a custom "halo wig* to wear throughout treatment and recovery. We provide the instructions, funding and support to produce a custom halo wig which can be worn with any hat or scarf for your time fighting breast cancer.
In our launch year, we are working with local hospitals in Marin and the San Francisco Bay Area to reach patients in our community who are uninsured OR underinsured and in need of financial help.
*Halo Wig: a lightweight hair prosthetic that is constructed with a patient's hair and attached to a round , cotton fabric so your head can "breathe". Halo wigs are worn with almost all types hats and scarfs.
Your tax deductible contribution will go towards sponsoring one or many breast cancer patients about to experience hair loss due to chemotherapy. The funds pay for a custom hair cut and shipping to artists in Florida who make each halo wig by hand. The resulting halo wig can be worn under any hat or scarf during and after treatment.
A donation of $550 will cover all fees associated with sponsorship for one patient.

Once a patient is sponsored or nominated, Project Angel Hair will be in touch with instructions to provide the hairstylist and all shipping details.
The patient's hair gets shipped directly to artisans based in Florida to create the halo wig. 7-10 days wait period.
The patient can rock a pixie OR shave the remaining hair during this 7-10 day period.
The patient's beautiful halo wig will arrive and they can begin wearing it out immediately, with any hat or scarf.
